Be Sure to Make Time for This Historical Reenactment

During this hectic election season, a day in the garden is a day well spent. The Dallas Arboretum is a perfect place to slow down and relax in "one of the world's 15 most breathtaking gardens," according to Architectural Digest. From November 1 - 14, the Arboretum welcomes guests to visit the garden and hear the great words of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Benjamin Franklin along with works from other historical luminaries.
Talented volunteers, including local celebrities and news personalities, will recite important historical works such as Abraham Lincoln's "Gettysburg Address" and George Washington's "Farewell Address in 1796," while standing near Gary Lee Price’s namesake statues.

These readings will occur throughout the day at select times beginning November 1 at 10 a.m. Check the Dallas Arboretum website for a complete performance schedule.
