Swizzle is a recently opened restaurant in Dallas’ Swiss Avenue neighborhood that offers everything you’d expect in a Tiki bar and restaurant, including fruity cocktails and Kalua pork and chicken plates. If you’re still mourning the closing of Bolsa, one of Dallas’ premier farm-to-table restaurants, don’t worry: Chef Matt Balke is up to his old tricks with the new Encina restaurant, where he is in charge of a new menu of fresh, always-in-season meals. Here, you’ll enjoy upscale dishes like lamb and pork bratwurst and New York strip steak served with mascarpone grits.
Tinies

A true pandemic success story, Tinies opened early in 2020 only to shutter due to coronavirus concerns. Luckily, the upscale Mexican restaurant is back open now, with a slimmer menu that still showcases the best flavors to come out of this South Main Village spot. Try their empanadas, guacamole flight (with three different types of guac), and achiote roasted pork. Eat-in or order takeout with DoorDash.
