RFD-TV’s The American Rodeo is an annual rodeo competition that takes place at AT&T Stadium. Top rodeo athletes compete in seven events, including steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie-down, saddle bronc, bull riding, and more, for over $2 million in prize money. It’s known as one of the best Western-style entertainment events in the US. RFD-TV’s The American is a two-day event, making it the richest weekend in western sports at AT&T Stadium. The American will have final qualification rounds on Saturday, March 7th, and the finals round on Sunday, March 8th. The Top 10 rodeo athletes in the world will compete against everyday cowboys and cowgirls for the biggest two-day payout in rodeo.
The rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association is recognized as the leader in sanctioning the sport of professional rodeo and hosts the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo – the ultimate championship for the cowboy. Points earned at The American will count towards National Finals Rodeo qualification. The American Rodeo ticket prices will vary. Weekend passes start at $118, while single-day tickets start at $24.
